Gunmen kill Imam in Bosasso

BOSASSO —Gunmen have assassinated an Imam of a mosque in Bosasso town in Puntland regions in north eastern Somalia, witnesses said on Monday. Residents said gunmen armed with pistols gunned down the Imam of Al Rashid mosque in the centre of the city on Monday evening and left the scene. The security forces of the town have immediately started operations and cordoned off the place where the Imam was killed. The police have also imposed a curfew to the town where insecurity has been growing in recent months.
